Liliane Bettencourt choral singing prize

The Liliane Bettencourt Choral Singing Prize in 1989 was one of the first initiatives of the Fondation Bettencourt Schueller after its creation, The idea for the prize came from a desire shared with the French Academy of Fine Arts to encourage French professional choirs and contribute to the growth and reputation of this unique art form.

The prize is awarded after the consideration of applications by a jury composed of the musical composition section of the French Academy of Fine Arts and a representative of the Fondation Bettencourt Schueller.

Prize: €450,000.

Further assistance: up to €100,000 for to carry out a development project.

Over the past 25 years, the prize has been awarded to a remarkable series of French and foreign choirs.
